While most of us are waiting for Monday to see if we’re lucky to get a Google Wave invite (and as it turns out, lots and lots of us are still without one!), we thought it wouldn’t hurt to get to know this Google Wave thing a little bit better.

30 September is over, but you still don’t see your invite to start using Google Wave? No need to worry!
Since Google Wave team is located in Australia, they will be sending out those 100.000 invites on Thursday morning (their, Australian morning!) which is around late Wednesday night in USA.
They want this done this particular way because they feel the need to be fresh and ready on ‘their’ morning to be able to provide all the support they can.
So – still waiting! We’ll let you know the moment we get ours, and will start describing the sweet things Google Wave can do!

As it turns out, the name ‘Google Wave’ was inspired by the American TV-series called ‘Firefly‘ aired in 2002 in US and Canada.

At the moment Google Wave is still in the later development stage and is not yet available to public (only a limited number of developers have received the account details).
However, Google has made promises to launch the fully-functional Google Wave interface before the end of this year – something to look forward to, right?!

Google Chrome, which is just gaining popularity, will seem to be the optimal tool for Goolge Wave, while Mozilla Firefox, Safari and Opera will do just well, too.
Unfortunately, Microsoft Internet Explorer is not likely to be supported by this ‘Google Wave’ technology. Read more…
