What is Google Wave?

So, what’s all the buzz about? What is Google Wave?

Google Wave is a new Google product, ‘what email would be like if it was invented today’, as they are reffering to it.

Where can I find it?

It’ has not yet been released yet – but you can sign up to receive a notification once it is out.

What’s so special about it?

The main purpose of this new technology is to help helps users communicate and collaborate on the Internet. This technology is based on so-called ‘waves’. Each wave is actually a conversation and a document at the same time. The best part is that users can work with photos, texts, maps, videos – together and virtually simultaneously!

How much will I have to pay to use this?

Nothing! It’s going to be free for all – just like gmail or most other Google services! Moreover, since Google Wave also features a bunch of open APIs, developers will be able to create other, customized services by embedding waves or by creating extensions to work inside waves.
